Mastering the Art of Business Communication: The Third Pillar of A Successful Community

This is the 3rd article in a 4-part series diving into my Community Cultivated™ framework which is the foundation for creating a thriving online community. Think of them as the guiding principles that will shape your community's success.

The Third Pillar- Communication

The third pillar of a thriving community is effective communication. Here are 3 takeaways you are going to want to pay attention to: 

  1. Prioritize Intentionality: You must be intentional about these pillars. Just having them in place isn’t enough; you must actively focus on them to see results. Neglecting them is like throwing spaghetti against a wall to see what sticks.

  2. Communication Is A Two-Way Street: The third pillar of a thriving community is effective communication. Communication isn't just about one-way announcements; it includes outgoing, incoming, and internal communication.. Businesses must engage in two-way conversations and actively listen to their community.

  3. Consistency Across Channels: Consistent communication across all channels in an organization must take place. Teams such as marketing, community support, and others should work together to ensure that messages are coherent and aligned. This prevents disjointed experiences for community members.
