Q&A with 8-Figure Membership Owner, Corinne Crabtree of No BS Women (Part 2 of 2)

Corinne Crabtree is the founder of No BS Weightloss, an 8-figure membership, a Master Certified Life Coach, and recently launched the No BS Business Women membership. In part 1, she broke down for us how she got to the place she is now, lessons learned, and what she sees as the vision and challenges that are in her future. In part 2, she is answering questions submitted by you.

Balance Work And Motherhood With Realistic Expectations:

Corinne discusses the challenge of balancing work and motherhood, especially for entrepreneurs. She emphasizes that the concept of "work-life balance" is often overused and not necessarily achievable in the traditional sense. Corinne shares you must:

  • Set Boundaries And Manage Guilt:  Corinne learned to establish clear boundaries between her work time and her time with her child, Logan. When she's working, she avoids feeling guilty for not being with him. When she's with him, she doesn't dwell on work-related concerns. This approach helps her manage her mental energy and be fully present in both roles.

  • Define Motherhood On Your Own Terms:  Corinne realized that she didn't fit the stereotype of a touchy-feely mother, and that's okay. She accepted her unique style of motherhood and embraced her strengths, such as being good at making money and ensuring her child's needs are met. By reframing her perspective on motherhood, she freed herself from unnecessary self-criticism and focused on enjoying her time with her child in her own way.

Navigating Business Growth And Scaling Membership Communities

Corinne provides insights into scaling her membership-based businesses and overcoming growth plateaus. Here are key points to consider:

  • Consistency And Adaptability: Corinne highlights the importance of consistency in marketing efforts, whether it's through social media, podcasts, or other channels. She advises against chasing every new trend and platform, instead focusing on building a strong presence on a primary platform while remaining adaptable to changes in marketing strategies.

  • Retention And  Incremental Improvements: As membership communities grow, Corinne emphasizes the significance of focusing on retention rates and incremental improvements. She suggests that rather than seeking a single monumental change, success often comes from addressing small issues that collectively impact member satisfaction and engagement.

  • Mindset Shift On Growth Plateaus:  For businesses that experience growth plateaus, Corinne recommends changing the mindset around these periods. Rather than viewing slower growth as failure, entrepreneurs should acknowledge their disappointment and frustration while also recognizing their achievements. By maintaining a growth-oriented perspective and continuously evaluating strategies, businesses can position themselves for future breakthroughs.

  • Value Of  Repetition And Persistence:  Corinne discusses the value of repetition and persistence in marketing and messaging. She encourages entrepreneurs to keep refining their pitch, sharing their message, and consistently promoting their offerings. By accumulating countless repetitions, entrepreneurs increase the likelihood of delivering their message in a way that resonates with their audience and potential customers.

Scaling Intimacy In  Membership Programs

Corinne emphasizes the importance of scaling intimacy as a membership program grows. Many members may be concerned that with a larger membership, they won't receive personal attention or support. To address this, Corinne implemented strategies like Facebook live videos that simulate live interactions and incorporating small group coaching calls to maintain personal connections with members. The key is to find creative ways to provide individualized attention and support even as the membership grows.

Communicate Change And Value

When making changes to your membership program, such as introducing new features or offerings, it's crucial to communicate the value and benefits to your members. Corinne advises against letting members decide how to perceive changes on their own. Instead, proactively market and sell the changes to them, explaining why the changes are beneficial and exciting. This approach helps members embrace change and feel confident in the value they're receiving from the membership.
